I'm loungin'. Talkin' to mahsef.... staring at all you people watching at me ask dumb questions.... Loungin'

Has anyone here lived in a city that hosted the Superbowl? I mean like during the hosting not after the fact.

I am so amused by the locals sprucing up the place and trying to make it look good for the rest of the country. Seriously... that part of Arlington really kind of sucks. It's old and worn out. But it will look good for TV cause volunteers went out to those houses and slapped some fresh paint up and cleaned the yards of the people who live nearby. Free spruce up courtesy of Texas. A good thing considering most of those living in that area are on a fixed income and would never have been able to fix their houses up themselves.

Oh and why in the world would ANYONE want to spend $200 for a ticket to sit OUTSIDE the stadium and watch the game on a huge HD TV??? You can do that at home or at Chili's where it's WARM. and there's alcohol that you don't have to trade your first born for. I know that Jerry is going for the largest superbowl attendance ever but really. Personally, I don't think you should be counted as being at the game if you can't even see the field...with your own eyes. The man is a wacko.

What I really want to do is take a vacation AWAY from here in about 17 days. The traffic here is bad enough with all the highway destruc...er... construction going on and now they are throwing a Superbowl on top of it. Oh boy.... I can hardly wait. :\

BTW. Good job Seahawks! I was pleased that I could throw you into peoples faces for a change rather than listening to them tell me how much you suck.

I'm obviously a bad Texan....

I don't believe they have ever hosted a superbowl in Missoula, Redmond or Bellingham... so I have not had the privilege of watching the volunteers put lipstick on the pig.

Are you vacationing up North? In the Seattle area perhaps?

The Hawks got a little lucky this year... hopefully the talent will show up next year and we can actually have something to be excited about!

Yay!!! Football season is over!!!! I didn't really have to deal with traffic due to not going to work because the roads were covered with 2 inches of ice topped with deceptive snow. I can drive in snow... but that tricksy layer of ice underneath it took out a lot of people.
Also... the power line poles to our offices are now at a near 45 degree angle. The police made everyone leave the area that day. They planted new poles and attached the existing ones to the upright ones. Seems silly but maybe they will actually move the lines when the weather gets a little more friendly.
